There’s also additional attractions for varied skiing abilities. The area’s torchlight descent, always proves to be an unforgettable experience. After a day’s skiing, guests can meet at the restaurant, Mont-Rouge, near the top of the Veysonnaz and enjoy a cheese fondue, before being accompanied by the Swiss Ski School instructors down the torch lit Mayens ski run.
Région Dents du Midi is set on the Swiss side of Les Portes du Soleil, one of the largest international linked ski areas in the world. Featuring 600 km of slopes between France and Switzerland the area is also home to 6 villages, which are all worth visiting for a mid-ski-day lunch.
With more than 286 ski slopes, the Portes du Soleil is a popular choice with holiday makers of varying ski and snowboard ability. From long, winding ski slopes, like the bucolic Ripaille - Grand Paradis to black pistes like the infamous, vertiginous mogul field at the top of Chavanette, better known as the Swiss Wall, there’s a choice of adventures to enjoy at Les Portes du Soleil.
And for those looking to add something extra special to their trip, night skiing at Champéry, Les Crosets, Champoussin or Morgins provides visitors the opportunity to extend their ski day past nightfall. Alternatively, Ski-Touring at Morgins is an excellent opportunity to see the mountain in a whole new way during the day.
Besides offering access to what seems like endless slopes, Région Dents du Midi provides guests with well-being and relaxation too.The Thermes Parc of Val-d’Illiez hot baths are an irresistible temptation to pamper yourself after a long day on the slopes.
