Ski Lessons for Advanced Skiers

The Snow Centre offers ski lessons for advanced skiers to help you hone your skills for the next time you head to the slopes. We have a fantastic team of ski instructors who are ready to share their tips and tricks with you in your advanced ski lessons. During these ski lessons, your instructor will work with you on particular skills and may give you time to practise on your own.

After a certain level of ability, your advanced ski lessons will be less structured than lessons like ski lessons for beginners to give you time to develop specific skills and techniques. Your instructor may recommend taking the time to practise with a lift pass.

Ski lessons for advanced skiers will take place with others of your same skill level.

Included in your lesson:

2 hours of group Instruction on our slope

Advanced Ski Lessons - Levels 5+

Prior to booking your advanced ski lessons, it’s important to know what level you’re currently skiing at. This ensures you’re always safe on the slopes and get the most out of your lessons at The Snow Centre.

Level 5 - I am gaining confidence on the main slope

You’ve used the button lift, and can ski from the top of our Main Slope. You are now working on skiing on your own from the top of our Main Slope, improving your control with the help and feedback of our instructors.

Our 2 Hour Lessons include a complimentary drink in The Lodge Bar & Kitchen afterwards while your instructor tells you what you've accomplished in your lesson. All levels run at similar times making it a perfect time to come along with friends, even if you are at different levels. 2 Hour Lessons are available midweek or weekend, daytime or evening. You'll be joined by other members of the public who are also at the same level and of the same ability.

Private Lessons are a great way to take skiing at your own pace. Whether that’s throwing yourself at it and progressing as quickly as possible, or taking things slowly and mastering each technique before moving on, your instructor will progress the Lesson at the pace you want to go.

If you are at The Snow Centre Level 1 to 4, all or part of your Private Lesson will take place on the Trainer Slope.

Level 6 - Advancing to coaching

Now you’re able to link your turns from the top of our Main Slope, it’s time to advance from structured lessons to Main Slope skills and development coaching. Your instructor will demonstrate a wide range of drills, skills and techniques and give you time to practice them whilst under their watchful eye.

There’s so many ways to learn, take a look and choose a session that works best for you.

Our 2 Hour Lessons include a complimentary drink in The Lodge Bar & Kitchen afterwards while your instructor tells you what you've accomplished in your lesson. All levels run at similar times making it a perfect time to come along with friends, even if you are at different levels. 2 Hour Lessons are available midweek or weekend, daytime or evening. You'll be joined by other members of the public who are also at the same level and of the same ability.

Private Lessons are a great way of brushing up your technique and learning some new moves, even when you are a confident skier! Whether it’s trailblazing your way down the slope or learning the moves to a point, your instructor will progress the Lesson at the pace you want to go. These sessions will work on wide range of techniques to ensure you progress your all round skiing and If you’re ready to try something new these lessons can be tailored to develop your flatland Freestyle skills, such as ollies, buttering and flatland spins.

If you are at The Snow Centre Level 5 and above, all of your Private Lesson will take place on the Main Slope.

Skills Development Day

Aimed at guests who are independent skiers, have completed Level 5 or our Improver Day Course and wish to develop more confidence and technique. The lesson will start from the top of the main slope and will continue to develop their steering skills working towards greater parallel phases.

Great as a pre-holiday refresh or to keep your ski legs going throughout the year! This course includes 5 hours of tuition taking place on and off the slope.Just £199pp.

Includes lunch and refreshments.

Skills Development Coaching

You can use a button lift and are confident in ascending our 160m Main Slope. Whether you’ve just progressed from Level 6 or have been on the slopes for years, our coaches will ensure you get the most out of your session.

You may be recommended to take some practice time alone with a lift pass to practise what you’ve learned before taking your next lesson to learn new techniques and skills.

Lessons for those with additional needs

At The Snow Centre, we believe that snowsports should be open to everyone and recognise the importance of participation, building self-confidence, exploring new experiences and feeling a sense of achievement.

If you have any additional needs that you feel may be a barrier to learning a snowsport, please contact us and speak to one of the team. We will be able to find the right pathway to help you unlock your learning and participation potential.

Our team consists of some of the best and most experienced snowsports instructors. We are also privileged to work with the top specialist organisations dealing with various additional needs while learning snowsports.

Have you got your snow essentials?

Skis, boots and helmets are included with your session and we recommend wearing warm, waterproof clothing. Thick socks and gloves are mandatory on the slopes. If you don't have your own we offer clothing hire - at £7 for one item or £12 for both a jacket and trousers. Gloves and socks are available to purchase for just £12 for gloves and £6 for socks.

Snow essentials can be added at the time of making your booking or at Reception when you arrive.

Ski lessons for advanced skiers have a maximum of 10 people per instructor. Private ski lessons are available for between one and six people per instructor.
