What skills do you teach? Snowboarding and Alpine Skiing

What qualification do you have? Snowboard Level 1 & Alpine Level 2

When was your first Snowsports experience and where? First lessons at Calshot Activity Centre, Southampton. First snow experience Tignes France 1990.

What’s the best thing about being an instructor at The Snow Centre? Seeing people who have never tried snowsports before, happy at achieving so much on the first lesson. Also being able pass on my love of the sport and mountains to customers.

One single tip you would give to anyone taking part in Snowsports… Relax.

Funniest Snowsports memory? Seeing a friend mis-judge a turn and take out 100 metres of rope and piste markers.

“Easy access from M1. Plenty of parking, simple registration, and quick service to collect skis, boots etc. Both lifts serving the main slopes worked faultlessly and although the session was quite busy I felt the slopes were quite free of other skiers & classes. I particularly liked the snow conditions and at the end enjoyed the amazing cafè overlooking the slopes. Reasonably priced menu. All told an excellent start to our skiing this year.”

The lessons were full as it was half term, but each child still didn’t have to wait too long between turns on the slope. It was easy to get and return equipment and the food in the restaurant was great and came promptly.”
