The beauty of learning to snowboard at The Snow Centre Manchester is that you can take lessons at your own pace, and our fully qualified instructors will tailor each lesson to your needs. All of our instructors hold qualifications from BASI, IASI, and Snowsport England and can help guide you every step of the way from beginner snowboard lessons to advanced snowboard coaching. If you meet the minimum slope standard for the use of Main Slope, you can explore all that our indoor real snow slope has to offer by picking up a lift pass. Race down the Main Slope as often as you like and experience the thrill time and time again.

If you meet our Main Slope minimum standards, you can snowboard without lessons here at The Snow Centre Manchester. Although if you haven’t been on your board in a while, we strongly recommend taking a refresher lesson before doing so. We have specific standards for the use of the Main Slope, requiring users to be able to control their speed and direction, make turns safely, stop safely, and know how to use the button lift. If you cannot meet the criteria, you will not be able to snowboard, as you will be a risk to yourself and others around you.

To reach a good standard of snowboarding, complete beginners will require around six lessons. The number of lessons needed to feel comfortable will depend on your learning speed and the type of snowboarding lessons you are undertaking.

An adult snowboarding lesson at The Snow Centre Manchester is two hours long, while our kids' snowboard lessons are one hour or an hour and a half, but we do also offer day snowboarding lessons that are exclusive to adults and will see you undertake five hours of instruction.
