Snowboard Lessons.

If you meet our Main Slope minimum standards, you can snowboard without lessons here at The Snow Centre Manchester. Although if you haven’t been on your board in a while, we strongly recommend taking a refresher lesson before doing so. We have specific standards for the use of the Main Slope, requiring users to be able to control their speed and direction, make safe turns and stops, and use the button lift. If you cannot meet the criteria, you will not be able to snowboard, as you will be a risk to yourself and others around you.

To reach a good standard of snowboarding, complete beginners will require around six lessons. The number of lessons needed to feel comfortable will depend on your learning speed and the type of snowboarding lessons you are undertaking.

An adult snowboarding lesson at The Snow Centre Manchester lasts two hours, while our kids' snowboard lessons are one hour or one and a half hours. We also offer day snowboarding lessons that are exclusive to adults and will see you undertake five hours of instruction.

Since you’ll be snowboarding on real snow, warm clothing is essential for your lesson. We recommend a waterproof jacket and trousers, which can be hired from us if needed. Gloves and warm socks can be purchased from us if you don’t have your own. The rest of your equipment is included in your lesson fee.

Our snowboarding lessons include access to our real snow slopes, provision of a snowboard, boots, and a helmet, and expert instruction from our experienced team.
