Our teen ski lessons are the perfect way to learn how to ski. Our team of talented instructors will take your teen under their wing, keeping them safe on the slopes while also allowing them to build confidence while having fun in the snow in ski lessons tailored to them.
An introductory stage, where you will learn all about your equipment and take your first steps into the world of skiing. Get comfortable standing and walking around on skis before learning some basic movements and fundamentals. You also learn about the Beginner Slope lift.
This stage looks to lay beginner foundations by the end of the lesson, they should be able to ski slowly in a snowplough, ski down making the pizza shape (snowplough) bigger and smaller and change direction whilst in a snowplough.
he final stage in the beginner learning stages by the end of this lesson kids should be able to come to a stop using turns on the slope, ski in balance following their instructor using snowplough turns and following a set path utilsing linking turns be able to ski the entire length of the lesson slope.
This stage develops their skills whilst steering through the session they should be able to use the button lift with some assistance getting on and off, follow their instructor on a set path and stop at any point whilst descending.
By the time your child reaches Stage 5 they will be a competent skier. This stage seeks to build confidence and allow them to practice skiing independently down the Main Slope controlling their line and speed using linked turns, perform drills and exercises given by their instructor and have strong balance and sound posture whilst steering.
The final stage is all about continuous improvement teaching kids to ski in narrower corridors using effective steering, be comfortable with skiing at speed being in control, keeping their skis parallel and being experienced in varied snow, terrain and turn shapes.
Coaches will guide them, in multiple sessions, to develop on going performance including technique to varied terrain, refining posture or improving steering skills. They should be starting to experiment varying turn shapes, and enjoying the exhilaration of speed. Becoming a more accomplished, all round skier.

No, our teen ski lessons do not automatically include a ski lift pass; your lesson price covers the cost of the lesson, slope access and includes equipment such as skis and a helmet. To gain access to the Main Slope to ski independently, they will need to meet our Main Slope minimum recreational standards and purchase a lift pass in addition to their lesson. Our teen ski lessons are typically 1 hour and 30 minutes of instruction. If you want to stay longer on the slopes, then our ski holiday camps offer a two-hour session.
Aim to arrive 45 minutes to an hour before the start time of your lesson to allow ample time for preparation. Upon arrival, please have your booking reference available (you can find this on your booking confirmation email). You can collect your tickets from the Guest Services desk or the self-service ticket machines situated near reception. If your booking confirmation has a QR code, you can scan it at the self-service machines to check in.
Our facilities include changing cubicles, accessible changing facilities, and lockers available to store your belongings, which accept a £1 coin or a locker token. These are returnable.
You can enrol your child in kids’ ski lessons starting from the age of four, and we also offer private ski lessons for children as young as three. To reduce any potential disruption during lessons, please ensure your child has been to the toilet prior to the lesson.
During junior lessons, a parent/guardian is required to remain on-site and be in sight of the lesson (where reasonably possible) at all times. This is in case the instructor needs to signal a parent/guardian to come down to attend to their child. Parents/guardians are not allowed to be on the snow with their child, but should be up in the Lodge viewing gallery or adjoining balcony.
Warm clothing is essential for your Ski lessons, especially in cold conditions. Wrapping up warm will allow you to enjoy your lesson fully. Wear warm, waterproof clothing and warm socks. All of which can be hired or purchased if you don’t have your own. The rest of your equipment, your Ski's , boots and helmet, all of which are compulsory, are included in your lesson fee. Gloves are compulsory and can be purchased either online when booking, or at the centre, or bring your own.
