HOW TO GET TO THE SNOW CENTRE MANCHESTER.

Where we are.

Located next door to the Trafford Centre in the heart of Trafford City and less than four miles from Manchester City Centre. Our iconic indoor ski centre building is unmissable whether you’re heading into or away from the City. In September 2025, we rebranded to The Snow Centre Manchester. You may still find references to ‘Chill Factore’ on digital navigation tools - that’s us (well the old us)! We are conveniently located just off the M60 motorway at Junction 10. The Snow Centre Manchester is signposted from the motorway exit, but thanks to our fabulously iconic building, you won’t miss us! We offer free parking and have over 300 car parking spaces available, including dedicated disabled parking bays.

By tram, train & taxi.

There are regular main-line trains into Manchester Piccadilly station, which is in the centre of Manchester. You can take a taxi from Manchester Piccadilly station, which takes 15-20 minutes and costs approximately £15. There are also regular train services to local stations at Urmston, Eccles, and Salford Crescent, all of which have regular onward bus and tram connections to the Trafford Centre, a few minutes walk from The Snow Centre Manchester.

The Snow Centre Manchester is easily accessible on foot or by cycle from the surrounding residential areas of Urmston, Davyhulme, Flixton, and Eccles. We have on-site secure bicycle and motorcycle storage; just remember to bring your cycle lock with you.

In addition to our ski lessons, snowboard lessons, lift passes, and Snow Park, we can host a wide range of events tailored to your needs, from fun snow activities to unforgettable birthday parties. We also offer a place to sit down, relax, and enjoy fresh food and an unbeatable view of our real snow slopes at The Lodge Bar and Kitchen. We are also home to a number of other businesses and active lifestyle retailers in and around The Snow Centre Manchester.

Our Manchester slope isn’t just the longest indoor ski slope in the UK; we also use real snow, delivering a skiing or snowboarding experience as close to a real mountain piste as possible.

We have a dedicated beginner slope designed for instructors to teach their classes in a controlled environment before transitioning to Main Slope.

There are endless amounts of Snow Fun to be enjoyed at The Snow Centre Manchester, with Downhill Donuts, the Ice Slide, and Sledge ‘n’ Slide offering exhilarating experiences.

The Lodge Bar & Kitchen provides the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes. Partake in some après-ski in our Alpine chalet-inspired venue.

GUIDE FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT.

If you’re heading out on our real snow slope at The Snow Centre Manchester for the first time, be sure to wrap up warm. No matter how hot it is outside, the temperature inside our slopes is always sub-zero. Bring along your confirmation email or digital wallet ticket and any equipment you already own. If you don’t have your equipment, we can provide it for you! Skis or snowboards, boots and helmets are all included with your lesson or lift pass; helmets are included with Snow Park passes. You can hire waterproof jackets and trousers or purchase socks and gloves.

 

Please arrive around 30 minutes before your session to allow time for check-in and changing.
