If your child has already completed their kids snowboard lessons up to Stage 6 and feels they’re ready for the next step in their learning journey, then our kids’ snowboard coaching sessions provide the perfect learning environment to make that step into skills development coaching, allowing them to get more fun out of the slopes. Led by The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead’s team of expert snowboard instructors, our kids’ snowboard coaching sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for your children to thrive.
JUNIOR LESSONS - LEVEL 6
Ages: 7-16 | Activity Duration: 1 Hour 30 minutes | Instructor Ratio 6:1
Our Level 6 junior snowboard lesson will guide your child to improve their confidence on the Main Slope and give them the tools to improve their snowboarding. They will improve their posture, develop their steering skills, and vary turn shapes.
These sessions are designed for guests seeking to enhance their freestyle skills. Guests need to be comfortable and confident turning from the top of the Main Slope. During the session, the coach will spend time developing skills, confidence and techniques both in and out of the Freestyle park.
INTRO TO FREESTYLE.
Enjoy 2 hours on the snow, start with a 1 Hour Coaching Session with one of our expert coaches followed by a 1 Hour Lift Pass to practice your newfound skills and tricks. Designed so you can feel the rush of riding our Freestyle Park.

FREESTYLE COACHING ACADEMY.
These 90 Minute sessions during Thursday Freestyle nights, between April and December, are designed for those seeking to start or enhance their freestyle skills.
During the session, the coach will spend time developing skills and techniques both on and off the park. For sessions with mixed abilities, the coach will tailor parts of the lesson to each individual to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the session. The session aims to develop guests’ confidence, whether that’s learning your first trick or mastering your next.
Our instructors make each lesson educational and intuitive, always helping you to progress and improve your skills.

If you are looking to fast-track your child’s progression, a private snowboard lesson allows them to benefit from one-to-one instruction, fast-tracking their learning with our incredible instructors. These lessons are entirely tailored to your teen’s needs, allowing the instructor to choose the best flow and direction of the session. Private snowboard lessons are the perfect way to hone their skills alongside our coaching sessions.
Whether you’re 6 or 60, just starting out or looking to hone your skills, accelerate your learning whilst saving big – with a pack of three or six lessons at The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead.
With a lesson pack you can work through our lesson stages or hone more advanced skills in coaching sessions. You can also try out both disciplines with the same pack.
Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time of the lesson to allow ample time for preparation. Upon arrival, please have the booking reference available (you can find this on your booking confirmation email). You can collect your tickets from the Guest Services desk or the self-service ticket machines situated near reception. If your booking confirmation has a QR code, you can scan it at the self-service machines to check in.
Our facilities include changing cubicles, accessible changing facilities and free lockers to store your belongings.
Our kids' snowboard coaching sessions typically allow for 1 hour and 30 minutes of instruction. The sessions are designed to help your child develop their skills and pick up some more advanced techniques.
The kids' snowboard coaching sessions are designed for kids aged seven to sixteen years. These classes are specifically tailored to children in this age range, focusing on further developing their already sound snowboarding skills.
If the child meets the minimum requirements to snowboard independently (Lesson Stage 5), they can start boarding on a Main Slope lift pass from 10 years old, provided they have a guardian on site and meet our Main Slope minimum standards:
If your child has any specific learning needs, please inform the instructor at the start of the lesson so they can make any necessary adjustments. For any significant needs your child may have, we recommend contacting Disability Snowsports UK to help your child start their adventures on the slopes.
Warm clothing is essential for their snowboard lesson; it's real snow after all. A waterproof jacket and trousers will allow them to enjoy their snowboard lesson fully; these can be hired from us if needed. Gloves and warm socks can be purchased from us if they don’t have their own. The rest of the equipment is included in the lesson fee.
