Five action-packed hours of learning to snowboard, from the fundamentals to flying down the slopes, with lunch included at The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead. Our qualified instructors are on hand to offer you their full support and focus, allowing you to tailor the lesson to your needs. Our adult snowboard day lessons are perfect for developing your snowboard skills, whether you’re just starting out and want to learn the basics in one session or you want to hone your techniques to prepare for your first solo run on the Main Slope.

SNOWBOARD DAY LESSONS

Experience a full five-hour snowboard lesson plus lunch, perfect for boarders looking to develop their skills while also enjoying a fun day out on the slopes. Our incredible instructors will guide you through the snowboard lesson and tailor it to your needs. Our day snowboarding lessons in Hemel Hempstead are for anyone over the age of 17 and can be booked at three skill stages: Beginner (Stages 1 – 3), Improver (Stages 3 – 5) or Skills Development (Stages 5, 6 and Coaching).

BEGINNERS SNOWBOARD DAY LESSON

The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead is the perfect place for day snowboarding lessons. It doesn't matter if you’ve never even seen a snowboard before; with our beginners course, you will be well on your way to being a snowboarding legend. Starting as a complete beginner, during our five-hour snowboarding lesson, we will guide you through all of the snowboarding basics. By the end of the lesson, you will have some foundation skills, and we will also ensure you understand your equipment and fully understand slope safety.

IMPROVER SNOWBOARD DAY LESSON

Once you have completed the beginners course, you can tackle our Improvers Day. Aimed at snowboarders who have achieved Stage 3 of The Snow Centre learning journey, or snowboarders who can link basic turns on easy green slopes. This one-day snowboarding course starts out on our Beginner Slope, where the focus will be on further developing steering and controlled turns, building confidence, refining progressive edging skills, and unlocking the ability to ride steeper terrain. Learners will be introduced to the button lift and will follow the instructor in a controlled descent down the Main Slope. The course will focus on developing independence and confidence as an early-level snowboarder.

SNOWBOARD SKILLS DEVELOPMENT DAY LESSON

Our Skill Development snowboarding day lesson is designed for guests who are independent snowboarders, have completed Level 5 or our Improver Day Course, and wish to develop their confidence and technique further. The lesson will start at the top of the main slope and will continue further to enhance the accuracy and control of their snowboard. As you progress through these skills, you will develop your turn size and shape to help tackle a variety of terrain and conditions.

Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time of your lesson to allow ample time for check-in, equipment collection and preparation. Upon arrival, please have your booking reference available (you can find this on your booking confirmation email and even save it to your digital wallet). You’ll collect your tickets from the Guest Services desk or the self-service ticket machines situated near reception. If your booking confirmation has a QR code, you can scan it at the self-service machines to check in.

Our facilities include changing cubicles, accessible changing facilities, and free lockers available to store your belongings. 

Warm clothing is essential for your snowboard lesson; it's real snow after all. A waterproof jacket and trousers will allow you to enjoy your snowboard lesson fully; these can be hired from us if needed. Gloves and warm socks can be purchased from us if you don’t have your own. The rest of your equipment is included in your lesson fee.

No, our snowboard day lessons are available for adults aged 17 years+. Our kids group lessons are designed for children of different age groups and offer endless snowboarding fun and learning with our qualified instructors for 7 to 16-year-olds.

An adult snowboard day lesson at The Snow Centre typically costs between £99 and £199, but prices may vary depending on the time of year.
