Book one of our snowboarding lessons and take your learning journey at your own pace. Our adult beginner snowboard lessons will take you from your first steps on the snow to mastering the basics.
In this introductory stage, you will learn all about your equipment and slope etiquette, taking your first steps into the world of Snowboarding. We’ll introduce you to one-footed skills, develop your balance on the board and heel-edge slide slipping.
Focusing on further developing your balance and posture to change direction, utilising the toe and heel edges to side slip diagonally. You’ll also learn to control your speed and direction independently on either edge.
Applying all that you have learnt in both Stages 1 and 2, the final beginner stage will see you learning to consistently turn on both heel and toe edges, enabling you to make basic turns using the full length of the Beginner Slope.

Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time of your lesson to allow ample time for check-in, equipment collection and preparation. Upon arrival, please have your booking reference available (you can find this on your booking confirmation email and even save it to your digital wallet). You’ll collect your tickets from the Guest Services desk or the self-service ticket machines situated near reception. If your booking confirmation has a QR code, you can scan it at the self-service machines to check in.
Our facilities include changing cubicles, accessible changing facilities, and free lockers available to store your belongings.
Warm clothing is essential for your snowboard lesson; it's real snow after all. A waterproof jacket and trousers will allow you to enjoy your snowboard lesson fully; these can be hired from us if needed. Gloves and warm socks can be purchased from us if you don’t have your own. The rest of your equipment is included in your lesson fee.
A complete beginner will need at least six lessons to feel comfortable and confident out on the slopes. The number of lessons you will need will vary depending on the pace at which you pick up the skills and knowledge you need to progress to the next lesson stage.
Our beginner snowboard lessons are a two-hour-long session, teaching you all of the fundamentals and how to handle your equipment. If you want to start with a day snowboarding lesson, then you can enjoy five hours of snowboarding instruction, or you can opt for a one- or two-hour private snowboarding lesson in a one-to-one environment.
