The role of an instructor at The Snow Centre is to ensure that guests get the most out of their time on our slopes, developing new skills or honing their techniques.
We think skiing should be fun and we want to make sure our guests, whether they’re trying skiing for the first time or learning advanced skills, are having a great time, so we make fun the core of our lessons.

To become a ski instructor at The Snow Centre, you need to obtain a Level 1 qualification from an organisation such as BASI, IASI, or SSE. To teach on the mountains in ski resorts, you will likely need to have a Level 2 qualification.

A Level 1 qualification consists of up to five days of training and assessment programme, a first aid qualification, and 35 hours of Snowport School experience with plenty of online modules to help you learn and prepare. To achieve a Level 2 qualification, you will build on all you learn in Level 1 and apply additional training, another assessment, and a further 35 hours of snowsport school experience.
