Important Information
Parents, guardians and teachers are responsible for capturing all video evidence required by the student's school or examination board. The Snow Centre instructors are unable to provide filming during the competitive session.
The Main Slope balcony provides an excellent viewing point for recording assessment footage.
At the end of the session, students will receive their times, results and assessment marks from Guest Reception, which can then be submitted to their school as supporting evidence.
Students are encouraged to practice slalom skiing before attending their assessment session. Those looking to gain additional experience in a race environment may wish to attend our Ski Race Training sessions.
GCSE Skills Private Lesson

The GCSE Skills Private Lesson focuses on the technical and skills-based elements of the GCSE PE assessment for Skiing or Snowboarding.
Before the lesson, students should provide details of their examination board criteria (AQA, OCR or Pearson Edexcel). The instructor will then tailor the session to cover the required technical skills and performance elements.
Upon completion of the lesson, students will receive a skills assessment score sheet to support the evidence submitted to their school.
Video Evidence
Parents, guardians or teachers are welcome to record the lesson from the Main Slope balcony.
Those accompanying the student who are competent skiers or snowboarders and meet Main Slope standards may also shadow the lesson at no additional cost to capture footage on the slope.
Alternatively, instructors can assist with filming during the session using the student's own phone or camera. Please note that The Snow Centre accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal devices.
